Hot!!
01.31.05 (1:55 pm)   [edit]
Wow! Glorious weather, wonderful sun, stinky cold. Hmmm which of those does not fit? I will give you a clue, it is the one I am experiencing amongst the other two. Yup, you guesses, I have the mother of all colds, terrible cough, sore throat, wonderful voice, achy muscles, and my head and nose feel like they weigh 100 lbs and not to mention the hot and cold, I keep experiencing.
Well on a lighter tone, the weather was indeed wonderful, I really do like this state! I have been getting lots of sleep, which is great, but tomorrow to the dreaded Financial aid office I go, anyone got 2500$ for me (j/k). Well just a little up date on my day!

blogging!?!
01.27.05 (2:56 pm)   [edit]
Well I guess I haven't blogged in a while. Well first let me tell you, it was beautiful today! Almost 80* (that is how it should be!) It is dreaded laundry day, and I have noticed that when guys run out of clean clothes, they revert to thier "church" clothes. Hmmm may they never do laundry again (j/k). So it has been a fairly busy week, I am very excited for tomorrow though. I will be doing some ministry outside of campus, and I have nothing due tomorrow!!!!!!!! Oh, and I learned a cool new worship song:
-We are warriors-
We are warriors
Gonna fight, gonna pray (x4)
Kickin down the strong holds of the enemeys of God
We aren't gonna surrender!
Crying to our King
Pleaing for our nation
We declare were gonna break free!
(repeat all)

It is such a cool sone, and it is really catchy!
Hmmm... Well not much else is going on, let me know how y'all are doing!

Hmmmmm
01.18.05 (3:12 pm)   [edit]
So I always thought that in Florida, the weather was great all the time... Hmmm boy was I wrong, it is very cold here, but I do realize that if I were in Wisconsin right now, I would probably think it was beautiful outside. Hmmmm, oh well I learn now not to take advantage of the nice weather here, the other 350 days of the year.
Well on another note, we have a team here called Soul Food, it is all about acting, and from what I am told, it is just quality drama, with a good message (an some nonsence of course)
Also I have been really getting into my devotions lately (stupid boys)and well I am reading the book of Genesis. I look at Noah, he had such faith in God that he went and built an ark, in an area where it like never rains. hmmmm, so I think to my self, wow! So I guess my prayer tonight should be to have faith like Noah. Well to top it all off in Genesis 5:21-24, the Bible talks about Enoch, who was absolutly amazing. Enoch lived for 365 years, which back then was not a long life, but he walked with God all of those 365 years (WOW), and because of his devotion to God, Enoch did not have to die in the flesh, but God just took him up to Heaven to walk with him, (Enoch is definatly someone we all should aspire to be like).
So I am writing all of this, because, when I read Genesis, I just skim through it, you know oh Adam and Eve, the Flood, Tower of Babble...(and so on), but when I took the time to really read it again, I discovered some amazing men of God!

So I will leave y'all with a wonderful verse (espicially in the dorms)
Proverbs 27:14- "If a man loudly blesses his neighbor early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse (NIV)."

Reflections
01.12.05 (1:26 pm)   [edit]
While reflecting on my three years at North Central University, I remembered a spontanious trip I took with some friends while there. After diner, which we ate around mid-night, four of us (Hope, Chuck, Dave and myself)had decided to go driving, and to shorten the story a little, after a very short stop at Chuck's parents house we ended up in Canada (which I had never been to.) We got badgered by the boarder patrol, and were well on our way to, well we had no plans, we just went. We found a delightful fast food chain called Taco Time (aka Tacko Tyme!)Various shopping centers, with ATM that didn't accept visa cards, over priced gas by the liter, and frozen over water (good for a bathroom break!)The trip back we stopped at Chuck's parents again to pick up what we had left and visited with them for awhile, which was quite enjoyable. Now although to the readers this may seem like it was not a lot of fun, the adventures we had were amazing, and I will almost say that that was the most fun I had had while attending NCU!!

Day two
01.12.05 (8:40 am)   [edit]
Wow, Florida is very warm, I realize that all of the clothin I brought to this fine state is just way too warm. Oh well, that means I get to go shopping. Anyway, I am kind of at a loss of words, which doesn't happen very often, so I am just rambling to try to find a topic to stay on. Since that seems to be beyond my comprehension today, I will continue at another time!
